Add the moment, if you want to open a note via a note link from another note you have use the mouse and click CTRL+left mouse button. This is annoying in case you are keyboard-focused kind of user because it is one of the few actions left that you use very, very often but which can not be done by keys - so you always switch between mouse and keyboard.
I may be misunderstanding but itsn’t the Follow link under cursor hotkey what you’re looking for? The default is Alt+Enter btw.
