Use case or problem
At the moment, there is no ability to just click on a folder and being able to create a note or a folder fast using hotkeys. This feature would be great in order to add speed when creating notes or folders.
If you are in a meeting, a lecture or writing down an idea, using hotkeys just makes sense for faster notetaking.
In Obsidian mobile, this process is not intuitive. when you long press a folder to create a new note, you actually have to release in order to see the menu with the file actions. Normally, you’d expect that if you long‑press a folder, the file actions menu would pop up after a second.
It would be easier if you could just click on a folder, click the new note icon and Boom you are off writing down your idea or note!
Proposed solution
Add the ability to click on a folder and use hot-keys for file add folder actions.
Add the ability to click on a folder and then click the new note or new folder icon at the top for fast workflow.
Add “Create note in selected folder” in Default location for new notes in settings. This option actually works with the above 2 proposed solutions.
Current workaround (optional)
The current workaround is only right clicking for file actions.
