Add counters to display total notes and category notes

Please search before making a new feature request. There are existing ones already (listed below). I’m moving this topic to help.

If you hover over a folder, it will show how many notes you have in that folder. Including a total if you hover over the vault name.

And what do you mean by “category”? Are you referring to folders?

Number of notes in the folder

It will be really handy to see the number of notes inside the Folder. Either as it is now with the Tags, or just in the parentheses (like below): [image]

The ability to know how many files are inside each folder is such an important feature. Linked mentions and unlinked mentions on the right ribbon already accomplish this. Please consider this request, as some people might use folders as their own personal project managers by transferring files from 1 folder to another. Show Total number of notes in the vault in bottom bar

There’s not way to know the number of notes one has in one’s vault. It’s a very useful information and should be shown somewhere. #feature-requests
