When scrolling with ctrl-d/ctrl-u, j/k sometimes the underlying characters gets inputted: d/u, j/k. It happens more frequently when using a non-latin language. For example with Russian I might get a random в/г, о/л.
I can’t reproduce this consistently but if some other Vim users noticed this behaviour then it’s something to take account of.
