Abnormal spaces within a note?

What I’m trying to do

I am trying to fix an abnormally large distance between note’s properties and its body. While in reading mode, there is no problem, but once I switch back to editing, the distance becomes so large it shoots the body outside the scope of the screen. There are no extra lines at the beginning, no nothing.

When I switch to the source mode, however, the extra space appears again, but this time not between properties and the body, but between properties and the name of the note.

Here is a screenshot of how it looks in editing mode:

Would very much appreciate any help on this!

Can you share your “Show debug info”?

You can try the standard troubleshooting stuff:

  • Try without plugins.
  • Try without snippets
  • Try with default theme
  • Update all plugins
  • Reinstall Obsidian from the web if your installer version is getting old.

Here’s my debug info:

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Custom theme and snippets: for cosmetic issues, please first try updating your theme and disabling your snippets. If still not fixed, please try to make the issue happen in the Sandbox Vault or disable community theme and snippets.
Community plugins: for bugs, please first try updating all your plugins to latest. If still not fixed, please try to make the issue happen in the Sandbox Vault or disable community plugins.

Try turning off the typewriter plugin. That centers the current line on screen, and if you just opened the note, it would be line 1.

Definitely try those other suggestions. It could be a snippet, or any of those plugins.
