Use case or problem
I am creating large canvas files with a lot of individual embedded blocks and cards within groups (and groups within groups) for research and writing. While we can copy and paste embedded blocks, cards, and groups along with all of their content by selecting everything, copying, and pasting within a Canvas - I cannot figure out a way to select blocks, cards, and groups and paste the content into a file. When attempting to paste the content into an Obsidian file outside of Canvas the paste function does not paste anything.
The ability to paste the content of selected blocks and cards in files outside of Canvas would be useful in a situation where I am analyzing/making meaning of a lot of data (the embedded blocks and cards) in Canvas to work visually and spatially but then want to engage in further analysis and work with the text in a file. Currently we have to click into each individual embedded block or card, copy the text, and then paste it into a file. This becomes very tedious when we have a lot of content in a canvas.
Proposed solution
It would be extremely helpful to be able to select and copy embedded blocks, cards, and groups and paste all of the content within the blocks, cards, and groups in a file (outside of Canvas).
Current workaround (optional)
I am currently clicking into each individual embedded block or card in canvas and then copying the content and then pasting the content into a file one embedded block or card at a time.
Being able to select copy and paste content from Canvas to file outside of Canvas would save some of us hours and hours of time and streamline the process of working between obsidian note files and canvas files.
Thank you!
