A clean way to link to a PDF without preview

Hello

I’m trying to link to a PDF file WITHOUT having the PDF as a preview in the document.
I just want the link that opens the PDF.

Managed making it work with a Markdown link like [Description](path to file.pdf)

But is there a quicker way, using Wikilinks for instance?
Or maybe a plugin to suggest?

Wikilinks to files, e.g., [[my pdf.pdf]] work if they are in your vault. You can use the autocomplete as well.

For linking to files outside your vault, there’s a list here of the different options available:
