What plugins or methods would I use to accomplish this? Is this as simple as a split view with one note on the left and another on the right? But I do not see two tabs so I am not sure how this is being accomplished. Thanks!
You can simply take the tab with the mouse and drag it to where you want it:

You can also right-click on the tab and then click on split.
